My wife and I could not have been happier with the experience we had with Discovery One. It exceeded our expectations in every regard. We have just had an amazing 12 nights on board Discovery 1 in the Kimberleys. The landscape, the sunsets and sunrises were amazing. The crew were all great very caring and nothing too much trouble and the food was 12 out of 10. Not many crocs but plenty of bird life. Daily excursions on tenders to islands, rock art and beaches. Highly recommend.

Our experience on this tour was a once in a lifetime highlight. The places we saw you would never see from the road. Fantastic rock formations. Beautiful beaches and waterholes to swim in. Regular off boat excursions. Whale crocodile shark and turtle sightings. The highlight for us was the Montgomery Reef - a natural wonder that is quite unique.

Early Waterfall Fun
Darwin to Broome

The season kicks off with the Early Waterfall package, on 14th March in Darwin with a flight to Kununurra. Onboard for lunch, you’ll cruise from Wyndham to Broome experiencing the major falls - King George, Glycosmis and Berkeley. A 13 night cruise taking in the gorgeous scenery and daily land excursions in the adventure boats, you will be sure to fall in love with this remote and special land.

- Morning flight from Darwin* to Kununurra

We were on cruise 11 July 2023. It was a great experience. The crew were fantastic. The activities were amazing. The food was sooooo good. There was not a meal served that was any less then great. We would definitely recommend this trip if you wish to experience some of the Kimberley region.

There is so much to see and do on this cruise. From scenic adventures to swimming in rock pools under waterfalls to exploring rock art. We did it all with 2 to 3 excursions daily. The staff were amazing, friendly, caring and very efficient. Food was great as well, fresh, healthy and varied. The boat was super clean and very comfortable.

Our cruises offer excellent value for money, with packaged land-based accommodations, scenic flights and transfers included, reducing extra costs for you.
What is included?
All transfers and accommodation are included as specified in each of the cruise itineraries. All your meals and excursions operated by us on the boat are provided. The exceptions are purchases from the bar, souvenirs and any optional excursions provided by 3rd parties. A Boat Account is kept for the duration of the cruise for your purchases and we ask you to finalise this at the end of the cruise using Visa or Mastercard.
Do you give a discount for group bookings?
Yes. If you book 2 or more cabins on the same cruise in 2025 we will provide you with a $500 per person credit. Bookings do not need to be made at the same time. If friends or family wish to join you they just need to flag with the booking office and/or put these details on the booking form, the surname of the people that they are joining. The $500 per person credit will be applied to all final accounts. Offer is exclusive, not available in conjunction with any other offers.
What type of vessel is Discovery One?
Discovery One is a 25 metre steel catamaran. It has 4 levels and is stable, spacious and comfortable for 22 passengers. One of the main advantages of Discovery One is the amount of recreational space available for passengers in addition to the air conditioned lounge and licenced bar and dining area, there is a roof top sun deck with spa and 360 degree views.
What do I need to bring with me on a cruise?
Most of our cruise packages (all but Great Rivers and Early Waterfall) have a 10kg per person total luggage limit (camera bag plus duffel bag) due to light air, seaplane and helicopter flights. To reduce luggage weight we provide a lot of items onboard such as linen, towels, beach towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, soap, hairdryers, sunscreen, insect repellent, walking sticks. You’ll find a list of what we recommend that you bring with you in the Cruise Guide – such as a broad brim hat and small binoculars. To make it easier for you, we also provide a free daily laundry service on the boat.
Are you available for private charters?
We have the capacity to accommodate up to 22 guests. In the past, we've had the pleasure of hosting various types of gatherings, including travel groups, and birthday celebrations. Regardless of your occasion, we are well-equipped to meet your group's needs. For additional details, please reach out to us at bookings@discoveryone.com.au.
